Regardless of what recipe I try...anything requiring cocoa is always 100% better with Bensdorp cocoa. I have been making individual chocolate souffles with it for my wife and I every single night. Low cal, rich taste, who could ask for more? You can tell by the rich, dark color that this is a very special product. Worth the splurge!

This is the richest, most intensely flavored cocoa I've ever used (been using it for years now). I've tried many others that are supposed to be the top brands/varieties to find a cheaper replacement, but no luck. I keep coming back to this. The cocoa's a dark mahogany color and has the most wonderful, complex chocolate perfume you open the can (unlike many others that look gray, and smell chalky and stale).
This cocoa will spoil you - but the price does put a damper on it. So, use where it really counts: it's definitely best where you want a pure, chocolate flavor to shine through in a special dessert or recipe like a flourless chocolate cake, souffle, etc. (Though if I could afford to use it in all my chocolate recipes, I would.) It would be a good gift for a chocolate lover, too.

This is actually a response for how my wife uses this product. She first received a can of this cocoa about 8 or 10 years ago as a gift. This is about all she uses now. Every time she tries another cocoa (because of its reputation or because she is out of D&D) she is always disappointed. The other products usually only get used until she can order more D&D.

We just purchased three more cans for her for Mother's Day. It should have been for my birthday as the kids and I are the ones that benefit from her baking. =D

She uses it for all of her baking needs... Grandma's homemade buttermilk brownies, homemade chocolate frosting, occasional chocolaty dessert drinks, etc. Please see the attached picture of her version of Martha Stewart's Monkey Cake recipe (a huge hit with kids BTW).

It is the best product out there for her uses. No others really even compare. Not Ghiradelli or anyone. This product has no shortcomings or limitations that we can find.

This is the best cocoa powder i've used so far. Totally different from the ones you can get on usual supermarkts.Full of flavor and aroma enhances the dish you're preparing and adds so much texture.As a good Brazilian, I've used to prepare Brigadeiro[@] and it was so good.

Not only does D&D cocoa make a wonderful hot chocolate but my Grandmother's Crazy Fudge Cake is out of this world. My daughter tucked this into my Christmas stocking a couple of years ago and now there is no going back!
