French Chocolate Pains

ONLY AT DEAN & DELUCA. Whenever we're in France, rather than settling for our usual breakfast of coffee and toast, we indulge in steaming bowls of cafe au lait and fresh-from-the- oven Croissants or Pain au Chocolate-buttery croissant dough folded around a square of high-quality dark chocolate. When we long to recreate that experience back home, we simply open our freezers and turn on our ovens. After baking for just 18 minutes (oh, the aroma!), our frozen pastries emerge warm and tender with crisp golden exteriors and lots of flaky layers.
