I drink a LOT of coffee and never have to go back and 'nuke' it before I finish the cup because it is thick and holds the heat. That makes it great when your out on the deck in the cool of the evening.

This is a stand along mug in our pantry, it keeps the beverage hot, has a good feel, does not tip over due to the weight as well as shape, the name imprinted on the front is stylish and gives us a reference to which mug we are requesting that day!Glad we bought two,plus saved on shipping that way.
