This was so delicious. This is my second year buying it around the holidays and I will continue next year as well. Perfect combination of fruit and nuts, with that light, amazing sugar topping. I enjoyed for breakfast with coffee for a week! :)

I must say, when I opened the box and saw the beautiful tin that the Dresdner Christstollen comes in, I was already impressed. But then, when I opened it, cut a slice and bit into it, I was even MORE impressed!! This has the perfect combination of moistness, sweetness, candies & nuts, and especially the sugar coating which has a nice, sweet touch...loved it! I can see why the Germans love it so much (I have alot of German heritage, which is one reason why I wanted to try it)
I tried to savor it for as long as I could, but it was gone after a week. I will definitely be buying this in the future. Thanks Dean & Deluca!

In Germany, it's not really Christmas without a Christstollen, and the Dresdner Backhaus makes the premier stollen. This is the opinion of my German Oma, and she came from Dresden - home of the stollen. I order at least one each Christmas season. I'm so grateful D&D offers them, because international postage is a killer!

I've never been a stollen lover, but this is to die for. I first bought this in Germany at the Christmas Market, and was excited that Dean and Deluca decided to carry this during the holiday season. It has the right combination of nuts and candied fruit. It's excellent with coffee and as a quick breakfast or afternoon snack. I've given this as a holiday gift and everyone who has ever tasted it has asked where they can order it. Highly recommend it.
