Forager story
Growing up around the family’s lobster restaurant in Ogunquit, Maine, Cal Hancock learned the importance of supporting local lobstermen and why Maine lobsters are the best tasting lobsters in the world. Most importantly, she learned how to give customers that “Maine” experience; serve delicious lobsters and provide the best customer service.
With that knowledge and experience, along with her love for cooking, Cal created Hancock Gourmet Lobster Co.in 2000. Her mission was to make that Maine experience accessible to people everywhere by shipping ready-to-serve lobster and seafood specialties – without the fuss.
Today, Cal continues to work out of her test kitchen in Cundy’s Harbor, the oldest commercial lobstering village in Maine, where she’s able to stay connected with local lobstermen and the eco-friendliest lobster industry in the world. The award-winning company’s manufacturing facility provides jobs for people in the community who still craft the food by hand just as the Hancock family did years ago.

I served these lobster pot pies for a luncheon with a Cape Cod Chopped salad (baby arugula, granny smith apples, toasted walnuts, cranberries dressed in a light citrus vinagrette). The pies take no effort and are loaded with large chunks of lobster and are very impressive. The pastry topping is light and beautifully presented. These are perfect for make-a-head meals for special company! Expensive, but worth every penny

This turned a quick dinner into an elegant meal. We had decided to throw steaks on the grille, and after the first one hit the grille, we remembered the lobster pot pies in the freezer. Splitting the steak in half and adding the pot pies turned out to be an excellent combination. We added wine, some fresh bread and steamed broccoli, and it turned out to be delicious and an excellent end to the day.

My 88 year old Grandmother lives in a small town in Missouri. One year she wanted something different to eat for a holiday that wasn't hard to fix. We sent lobster pot pies and they have been her favorite ever since. This is year 4 or 5 and she never tires of them.

I really don't know about these since I didn't receive a thank you from my intended gift recipient. Did he even get them? Who knows? The last gift I sent didn't arrive either. Note to self: No more [$] D&D gifts [...]
Service and delivery comments:
This is the second order that probably did not arrive. The first didn't (two lobster tails) and I haven't heard about this one either. Can I get any more stupid? The worst part is the overnight delivery charge for a GIFT that never arrived. Completely wasted.
