Forager story

Hot Bread Kitchen in East Harlem, NY creates jobs for women in the burgeoning culinary industry.
They preserve traditional baking techniques practiced around the world, inspired by the women they train. They let dough ferment slowly to naturally develop complex flavor and texture and their ingredient lists are short, sweet and local. They do not add preservatives or artificial flavors to any of their breads, and the majority of their ingredients are sourced from New York state farms.
This selection of breads celebrates the cultural diversity of New York City. Box includes buttery Moroccan M'smen, crispy Armenian kosher salt lavash crackers, sweet Persian nan-e qandi flatbreads made with local New York honey, and our Nixtamal yellow corn Mexican tortillas made by hand, using organic, non-GMO New York state corn.
